Where We Are and What the Drive Looks Like

Our Fort Smith office is at 5901 Riley Park Dr., Suite A, in the Rye Hill and Riley Farm area on the south side of town, a short drive from Chaffee Crossing.

If you know Fort Smith, you know this side of town has changed fast. Rye Hill and Riley Farm filled in with new neighborhoods, and Chaffee Crossing up the road went from a decommissioned Army post to one of the busiest stretches of new construction in the metro. A lot of our patients moved out this way, discovered their dentist was still back toward downtown through the traffic, and came looking for something closer.

We're in a suite with our own entrance and parking right outside the door. No parking deck, no elevator, no wandering a medical building looking for a suite number. If you're bringing a stroller or a walker, that matters.

The Team You'll Actually See in Fort Smith

Dr. Beau Sparkman, DDS owns the practice and works out of both offices. He grew up in Sequoyah County, went to Muldrow High School, studied pre-med at Sterling College, and finished at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2011. His focus areas are orthodontics, which covers braces, Invisalign, and Myobrace, and sleep apnea. He's a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Orthodontic Society, the ADA, the Arkansas State Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Fort Smith Dental Association.

Dr. Joseph Farmer, DDS is from here. Born and raised in Fort Smith, high school in Sallisaw, biochemistry degree from the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith, then the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He handles general and restorative care at both offices. He and his wife Aspen have a daughter, Evelyn, and three dogs, and when he isn't working he's usually building scale models or shooting traditional archery.

Dr. Blain VanNice, DDS practices here in Fort Smith. He came to dentistry sideways: a computer science and design engineering degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, magna cum laude, before dental school at the University of Colorado Anschutz. As he puts it, "I have always had a fascination with medicine and engineering, and I realized that dentistry is the perfect combination." He earned a Mentor of the Year award, completed a pediatric rotation at Children's Hospital in Aurora, and served underserved communities in Alamosa and through Denver Health.

On hygiene, Cindy Saulsberry, RDH has been practicing since 2011 and is based here. Laura Williams, RDH splits her time between both offices. She's been in dentistry since 1997 and has practiced as a myofunctional therapist for more than ten years, which is a credential no other practice in this market has.

The Communities This Office Sees

This side of the metro is an easy corner to reach, so the office pulls from a wide arc: Fort Smith, Barling, Greenwood, Van Buren, Alma, Hackett, and Bonanza.

Barling sits just past Chaffee Crossing and is an easy run over to us. Greenwood and Hackett families come up from the south. Van Buren and Alma patients come across the river. And if you work at one of the employers out this way, a Monday morning appointment before work or a lunch-hour cleaning is realistic in a way it isn't downtown.

If Roland, Oklahoma is genuinely closer for you, use it. Same practice, same records, same doctors in two of the three cases.

What You Can Get Done Without Leaving the Building

Checkups, cleanings, and gum care. Twice-yearly hygiene, periodontal treatment when the gums need more than a cleaning, sealants, and fluoride.

Crowns milled in the office. We run a digital scanner, a CEREC Primemill, and a VHF R5 mill here. For many patients that means a crown designed and milled during the visit, no impression tray, no temporary. Not every tooth qualifies, and we'll tell you which before we start.

Implants planned in 3D. Image Guided Implantology uses a CBCT scan and a surgical guide, and it typically cuts placement from around 50 minutes to 10 to 15. Single implants, bridges, and All-on-4 full-arch cases.

Orthodontics. Invisalign, traditional braces, and Myobrace for growing children, all with Dr. Sparkman.

Sleep and airway care. 3D airway imaging, custom EMA and ProSomnus oral appliances, and myofunctional therapy with Laura Williams, RDH.

Kids. First visits, sealants, and an honest look at how a child is breathing and how the jaw is developing.

Emergencies. Call early in the day. We keep room in the schedule and see same-day emergency patients when we can.

Sedation. If it's been years because of nerves, tell us on the phone. That's a solvable problem and we deal with it constantly.

What It Costs Before You Sit Down

We're in network with Delta Dental Premier, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, Guardian, United Concordia, Healthchoice, Sun Life, Principal, Assurant, and America's. Bring your card to the first visit and we'll verify your benefits and tell you what your plan actually pays before treatment starts.

No insurance? Our Smile Savers plan is $440 a year for one person, $770 for two, $1,100 for three, $1,430 for four, and $1,755 for five, with monthly options starting at $36.67. It covers two cleanings, exams, all needed X-rays, and fluoride, and takes 20% off comprehensive treatment. No deductibles, no waiting periods, no annual maximums. Implants, CT scans, and orthodontics are excluded.

For bigger plans we work with CareCredit, Cherry, and Proceed Finance, and we take HSA and FSA funds.
