Sallisaw is the Sequoyah County seat and the biggest town in the county, and for anything past a cleaning and a filling, people here have historically pointed the car east and crossed the state line.

Same County, Same Roads
Sallisaw sits where the interstate and Highway 59 cross, with Sequoyah's Cabin Museum out to the northeast preserving the home of the man the county is named for. Steinbeck put the Joad family here for a reason: this is the county seat, the place people in eastern Sequoyah County come for the courthouse, the hospital and the errands.
Roland is the next town east along the same corridor, and our office is on Ray Fine Boulevard, the main road through it. Most of our Sallisaw patients were already making that drive for something else. If your errand list already includes anything on the Arkansas side, we're on the way rather than a separate trip.
Who Practices in Roland
Dr. Beau Sparkman, DDS owns the practice and is a Sequoyah County native — he graduated from Muldrow High School before Sterling College and the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He handles braces, Invisalign, Myobrace and sleep apnea care, and he's a member of the Oklahoma Dental Association and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Joseph Farmer, DDS went to high school in Sallisaw. He took his biochemistry degree at UA–Fort Smith, finished dental school at the University of Oklahoma, and covers general and restorative care. He serves at TheBod.Church in Roland.
Raegan McGee, RDH is our Roland hygienist, a 2016 UA–Fort Smith graduate. Laura Williams, RDH works both offices and is a practicing myofunctional therapist. Sarah Trotter, RDH is licensed in both Oklahoma and Arkansas, so she can see you at either location without any paperwork gymnastics.
What You Can Get Done in Roland
Crowns milled during the visit. A digital scan replaces the impression tray and the crown is made in-office, which for many teeth means one appointment and no temporary.
Implants with 3D guidance. Image Guided Implantology plans the position on a CBCT scan and places through a surgical guide, typically cutting placement from roughly 50 minutes to 10 to 15. Single teeth through All-on-4 full arches.
Sleep apnea and airway treatment. Airway screening, 3D imaging, custom EMA and ProSomnus appliances, fractional cold CO2 laser therapy, and myofunctional therapy. The Foundations program is $3,995 and Transformation is $7,995, with monthly payment options. A diagnosis requires a sleep test; our screening is a starting point, not a verdict.
Dentures, root canals, extractions and wisdom teeth, plus cosmetic work and sedation for patients who have been avoiding all of the above.

If Something Breaks on a Tuesday Morning
Call (918) 503-6262 as early in the day as you can and describe what's happening — a broken tooth, a lost crown, swelling, pain that kept you up. We hold room in the schedule and see same-day emergency patients when we're able to. Facial swelling with trouble breathing or swallowing is an emergency room situation, not a dental office one, and we'll tell you that on the phone rather than book you.
One more thing worth knowing: our two offices are one practice with one chart. If you're seen in Roland and later end up at the Fort Smith office for something, your X-rays, notes and treatment plan are already there. Nothing restarts.

Usually yes. We're in network with the national carriers that dominate both states. The wrinkle is that a few carriers run separate provider networks in each state under the same brand, so we check your specific plan and its network status before your visit and tell you the number in advance rather than after your cleaning.
